Practical Nursing Instructor (Hybrid Program)

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the position of full-time Practical Nursing Instructor (Hybrid Program).     

Required Qualifications

Must hold active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee; BSN preferred. 

Minimum three (3) years of experience in the nursing field within the last five (5) years.

Minimum three (3) years current clinical experience

Teaching experience preferred

Instructor must have sincere interest in teaching and nursing, enjoy working with people, and have the ability to deal tactfully with people

Instructor must have a high standard of personal and professional ethics and possess an understanding and appreciation of the role and scope of the school and program purpose 

Online experience preferred for Hybrid Instructor.

Responsibilities

The practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Coordinator of Nursing, shall be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, initiating and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting, maintaining appropriate program and student records for documentation and evaluation, and submitting timely reports.  Responsible for student placement and assist with student follow-up.  Participate in recruitment of students.  Cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.  Actively seek potential clinical sites for the provision of clinical training.  Some travel is required.
