Last week, TCAT Crump was proud to host Taser Instructor certification. Law Enforcement officers came from Hardin County Sheriff’s Department, Adamsville Police Department, Selmer Police Department, Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Dyersburg Police Department, and Brentwood Police Department.

Master Taser Instructor Justin Hartley with AXON conducted the certification. “Before the certification day, participants completed coursework and testing. The practical day of certification consisted of tabletop exercises, teaching exercises, drills, plus live fire and scenario-based drills. At the end of the training, participants were certified as Taser weapons instructors to instruct on TASER X26p, X2 and TASER 7,” said Hartley.

TCAT Crump’s Criminal Justice Instructor Tim Foster stated, “Because there are limited certification opportunities in West Tennessee, this was a significant offering for the local law enforcement personnel. We appreciate forging our relationship with local law enforcement departments and AXON, and we look forward to providing more opportunities in the future.”
